B2Broker Looks Back at its Success as it Sees Out 2020 with a Bang!
Reporting our yearly results is now a regular tradition for our business, covering our achievements and work carried out by the company. To follow is a rundown of our company highlights for the year.
New Licenses and Webinars
In January 2020, we received a license from the National Bank of Belarus and became the first licensed liquidity provider in the Republic of Belarus. This allowed us to enter the ARFIN Association and receive accreditation from the NFC (National Forex Center).
In honor of this, we organized the official opening of the B2Prime office in March and invited all participants from the local market, where we talked more about our products in general and about the services that we intend to offer in the local market.
In April, we were the first company in the industry to start conducting webinars on various topics. These ranged from opening your own cryptocurrency or Forex business to more specific topics such as liquidity distribution. We held around 10 webinars in different languages targeted at different regions.
In June, we obtained a CYSEC license in Cyprus and became a licensed European liquidity provider for institutional clients. It was one of the most significant events for the company as we have been working on obtaining this important license for over two years. From June to December, we undertook all the organisational work required to launch the project and from January 2021 we will be in a position to start onboarding clients.
In July, after long-term remote work, our employees from the Moscow office returned to an expanded space after renovations were completed during the quarantine. We are now ready to double the size of the Moscow team. We celebrated the expansion of the office and returned from the lockdown with a corporate football game between the B2Broker and B2BinPay teams, launching a weekly team-building program. We have now been playing football each weekend for six months!
At the end of August, we obtained permission from the FCA (UK regulator) to operate as a regulated provider and issuer of electronic money and wallets. This is a very significant event for us since we plan to develop the direction of payment services for our clients. This license will actually allow us to offer digital banking services, or perhaps as it is now more fashionable to say now, we are launching our own neo-bank. We also opened our first office in London.
Office Expansion and New Website
In September, we launched an additional development office in Kiev and have since been actively looking for talent to increase our development staff.
In October, we were the participants and general sponsor of the Blockchain Life 2020 After-Party. We were pleasantly surprised that so many people visited the exhibition in the midst of the pandemic, but at the same time we were really pleased to meet potential and existing customers at this event. Our CEO Arthur gave a presentation about Prime of Prime Liquidity Provision and revealed all his knowledge and other useful concepts to a wide, receptive audience. A total of over 2,000 people listened to his speech.
At the end of October, we completed the renovation of the St. Petersburg office with an area of over 800 square meters, designed for 130 people and are looking forward to the official opening when the epidemiological situation returns to normal. At the moment, this is the company’s largest office and we have been working on the design since the beginning of January.
In November, we launched our new B2Broker.com website, which we started working on at the beginning of the year. A huge volume of work has been done on the site to deliver a result that is visible now.
Also in November, we gained entry into the register of Russian IT companies and the High Technology Park in Belarus. Together with the issued certificate, we opened a development office in Minsk and are now actively recruiting local engineers.
November turned out to be a very productive month for us as we launched a new product called B2Margin - a margin exchange for leveraged cryptocurrency derivatives trading. In partnership with Finance Magnates, we presented our new product via a webinar. So far, we have onboarded 5 clients who are now owners of the new system.
In December, we carried out some big updates to B2Trader including a new admin panel and new functionality, increased the order processing speed and released a completely new trading interface with dynamic and trading widgets. Furthermore, you can customize the desktop entirely at your own convenience.
Increase in Headcount and Industry Recognition
In terms of employees, our company has grown 40% and currently employs 170 people, handling over 250 institutional clients.
B2Core was awarded the best CRM solution by Global Forex Awards and B2BinPay received the accolade of Best Payment Solution from Finance Magnates.
B2Core is used by more than 80 brokers around the world and in excess of 300 countries use our B2BinPay payment gateway, uniting the desire to accept payments for their products in cryptocurrencies.
B2Core has been updated 15 times and we have informed our clients about all updates on a regular basis as more and more functionality was added, emphasising the ability to adapt to any business needs.
On the B2BX exchange front, we were the first to organise a buyback of utility tokens.
End of the Year Success
While 2020 has not been an easy year, new doors were opened, providing us with a host of new business opportunities that will help us pave the way for the future. We look forward to a prosperous 2021.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and wish you good health, success and prosperity both now and in the future.
