                            <p>The Bank of Ann Arbor has finalized the sale and opening of its new Birmingham location. </p>                                                        <p>In September, the original Nicolet National Bank building at 260 East Brown Street in Birmingham, Michigan, was purchased by the Bank of Ann Arbor. It took up $57 million in deposits and $176 million in loans as part of the deal. A total of thirteen loan officers and branch staff joined the Bank of Ann Arbor.</p>                                                        <p>The bank presently has five facilities in Ann Arbor, as well as in Saline, Ypsilanti, and Plymouth. It also has a branch at 33583 Woodward Avenue in Birmingham, and the newly purchased First National Bank in Howell, giving it a total of 18 locations throughout Livingston, Washtenaw, Wayne, and Oakland counties. </p>                                                        <p>The Birmingham branch of the Bank of Ann Arbor is situated at 260 East Brown Street and is open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.                             <p>Singapore’s central bank tightened its monetary policy settings on Tuesday, as global supply limits and strong economic demand raise inflationary pressures throughout the region. </p>                                                        <p>The city-state’s economy is particularly vulnerable to global inflation swings, and the central bank’s swift action comes as price pressures worry policymakers across Asia.</p>                                                        <p>OCBC’s head of treasury research and strategy, Selena Ling, expects the central bank to tighten again in April, calling Tuesday’s action “slight tightening.” </p>                                                        <p>“If they had announced a more aggressive tightening today, expectations for April would have been lowered,” she added. </p>                                                        <p>The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), which manages monetary policy through exchange rate settings, said it would slightly raise the rate of appreciation of its policy band. </p>                                                        <p>The width of the band, known as the Nominal Effective Exchange Rate, or NEER, and the level at which it is centered will be unchanged.</p>

More than 100 of Singapore's 170 "digital payment token businesses" are said to have failed to secure licenses from the country's financial regulator, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). 

                            <p>The Singapore Monetary Authority wants to encourage crypto and blockchain use in the nation, but it’s also aware of the hazards. </p>                                                        <p>More than 100 of Singapore’s 170 “digital payment token businesses” are said to have failed to secure licenses from the country’s financial regulator, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). </p>                                                        <p>According to the Nikkei, a Japanese financial journal, 103 firms involved in the digital payment industry in Singapore had their regulatory exemptions withdrawn, citing data from the MAS.</p>                                                        <p>Bitstamp Limited, Coinbase Singapore, Gemini Trust, and others are among the organizations that have been given an exemption from holding a license under the Payment Services Act. </p>                                                        <p>According to reports, the MAS aims to encourage crypto and blockchain usage while simultaneously acknowledging the dangers. “Because of the speed and cross-border nature of cryptocurrency transactions, it might be utilized for money laundering, terrorism funding, or proliferation financing.”</p>
