Deutsche Börse announced today that it is acquiring 100% of Luxembourg-based fund data manager Kenip, expanding its investment management service offerings.

With over 10,000 funds in over 40 countries, Kneip handles investor disclosure and data publishing for more than 30 percent of EU-based funds.

The integration of Kneip’s platform with the German exchange group will create a leading fund data service hub in Luxembourg.

Philippe Seyll, head of investment fund services at Deutsche Börse Group, said that through Kneip’s global reach and the broad range of services, the company would be able to further develop its product and service offerings and add value for funds clients at every stage of their business.

By the end of this month, the transaction should be completed. Details of the deal’s financial terms and closing date haven’t been disclosed.
