In order to introduce Web3 to more than 380 million users around the world, Opera, one of the leading crypto-friendly internet browsers, is integrating eight blockchains.

Crypto Browser was launched by Opera in January 2022, which is an initiative aimed at facilitating navigation across a wide range of decentralized applications (DApps), games, and metaverses. A significant part of this initiative was adding support for eight leading blockchain ecosystems — Bitcoin, Solana, Polygon, StarkEx, Ronin, Celo, Nervos Network, and IXO.

According to Opera’s announcement, the browser will offer its users access to the Polygon and Solana DApp ecosystems, as well as Layer 2 DeFi through StarkWare-powered DiversiFi.

Through the new integrations, Opera users will have access to the Polygon proof-of-stake blockchain and Ethereum layer-2 ecosystem through StarkEx.

The goal of integrating multiple blockchains, according to the company, was to ensure chain agnosticism and Web3 involvement with a viable and environment-friendly approach.
