The Account Settings tab controls whether clients can create or change accounts to master and investment roles, how many accounts and subscriptions they can have, and which MetaTrader password type investment-account owners receive after a reset. Configure it independently for Copy Trading, MAM, and PAMM.
Product-wide settings
Each product has one Account Settings configuration for the broker. The saved Copy Trading values are shared across its connected MT4, MT5, and cTrader platform instances; MAM and PAMM keep their own configurations.
Open Account Settings
Choose the product
In the Admin panel sidebar, expand Copy Trading, MAM, or PAMM.
Open Settings
Select Settings under the product.
Open Account Settings
Select the Account Settings tab. The saved values apply to the selected product across the broker.

Control Account Creation
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Create new investment accounts | Allows clients to create or change an eligible account to the investment role for this product. Turn it off to make that role unavailable in these flows. |
| Max investment accounts per user | Limits how many investment accounts one user can have in the current platform instance for this product. Select Unlimited to remove the numeric limit. |
| Create new master accounts | Allows clients to create or change an eligible account to the master role for this product. Turn it off to make that role unavailable in these flows. |
| Max master accounts per user | Limits how many master accounts one user can have in the current platform instance for this product. Select Unlimited to remove the numeric limit. |
Client and Admin account creation
The creation switches control client self-service and eligible Change type operations. An administrator can still create the account role from the Admin panel, subject to its numeric account limit.
Standard provisioned values
A standard new setup starts with master and investment account creation enabled, both account limits unlimited, multiple subscriptions to one master allowed, no active-subscription limit, and Investor Password selected.
To set a finite account limit, clear Unlimited and enter a value from 1 to 1000. The limit is checked against the user’s non-archived accounts in the current platform instance when they try to create another account. It does not archive or remove accounts that already exist. Turning account creation off also hides that role’s limit controls.
Switches save immediately
Create new investment accounts, Create new master accounts, and Allow multiple subscriptions for 1 master account from the same user are saved as soon as you change their switches. They do not wait for the Save button, and Cancel does not revert them.
Limit Subscriptions
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Allow multiple subscriptions for 1 master account from the same user | Allows different investment accounts owned by one user to subscribe to the same master account. When it is off, that user can have only one investment account subscribed to the master. |
| Max number of active subscriptions for 1 investment account | Limits how many master accounts one investment account can actively follow. Choose No Limit, 1, 2, 3, or 10. |
Copy Trading and MAM only
Max number of active subscriptions for 1 investment account is available for Copy Trading and MAM. PAMM does not show this control.
Subscription limits are checked when a new subscription is created. Lowering a limit does not terminate subscriptions that are already active.
Choose the Password Type After a Reset
Use Password type sent to investor after password reset to choose which password B2COPY emails when a MetaTrader investment account password is reset:
- Master Password — provides full trading access to the account.
- Investor Password — provides read-only access.
If no password type has been saved, B2COPY uses Investor Password for MetaTrader investment accounts. Master accounts always receive a Master Password. cTrader password resets use a full-access password and do not use this selection.
