Multiple Position Management
Ability to open various positions simultaneously for the same instrument.
Account Type
The Hedging Account system allows you to hold multiple open positions for the same financial instrument, both in the same and opposite directions.
This flexibility is crucial for traders looking to manage risk by using hedging strategies. It contrasts with a netting account system, where only one position per instrument is allowed.

A hedging account allows you to open multiple positions, both long and short, on the same instrument, providing the ability to manage risk through hedging strategies.
In a hedging account, each trade creates or updates an independent position — you can hold several long and short lots on the same symbol. In a netting account, trades on the same instrument are consolidated into a single net position with one direction and volume.
The number of simultaneous open positions per instrument is configured by your broker in B2TRADER Admin. The platform does not impose a fixed cap beyond the risk, leverage, and margin limits set for your account profile.
Choose a hedging account when you need to protect existing exposure with offsetting trades, scale into a market with separate entries, or run strategies that require long and short positions on the same instrument at once.
There is no separate fee for hedging mode itself. Each open position consumes margin according to your leverage settings; holding multiple lots can increase total margin usage. Partially offset long and short exposure may qualify for reduced margin under your broker’s hedged-margin rules.
Yes. From the trading terminal you can close individual positions, all positions on an instrument, or selected groups. Administrators can also bulk-close exposure from B2TRADER Admin when required.
Required Margin is calculated per open position from contract size, volume, price, and leverage. When opposite positions exist on the same instrument, your broker’s hedged-margin configuration may offset part of the gross exposure — the exact formula is defined in B2TRADER Admin margin settings.
