Dynamic Leverage allows traders to choose their preferred leverage ratio for each order, providing greater control over margin usage and risk exposure.
Consider your risk tolerance, position size, and market volatility. Lower leverage reduces margin requirements and potential losses; higher leverage amplifies both gains and risk. B2TRADER lets you set leverage per order up to the maximum configured by your broker for each market.
Leverage is selected when placing a new order. For netting accounts, adding volume to an existing position recalculates the effective used leverage using the weighted harmonic mean formula — the combined position reflects both the existing and new order parameters.
Higher leverage lowers the margin required to open and maintain a position; lower leverage increases it. Required margin is derived from contract size, volume, price, and the selected leverage ratio — giving you direct control over capital tied up per trade.
When netting a new order with an existing position, B2TRADER calculates effective used leverage as the ratio of total volume to the sum of each position’s volume divided by its leverage. This weighted harmonic mean ensures margin and leverage reflect the combined exposure accurately.
