New in B2CONNECT: More Margin Account Currencies And Clearer Order Attribution

B2CONNECT September Release

B2CONNECT’s September release introduces new options for configuring margin accounts and preserving account attribution across the trading chain. It also expands AMS profile support and addresses specific issues in order recovery and turnover reporting.

Margin Accounts In Supported Fiat And Crypto Assets

Brokers can now create margin accounts with a main asset other than USD, choosing from assets enabled on their hub.

Supported options include fiat currencies such as EUR, GBP, JPY, CHF, AUD and CAD, alongside crypto assets such as BTC, ETH, USDT and BNB.

B2CONNECT Add Account dialog with fiat and crypto currencies

Once selected, the main asset becomes the denomination for the account’s balance, equity, margin, free margin, and realized and unrealized P&L. Instrument prices are converted automatically for these calculations.

For brokers whose clients hold and settle funds in euros or crypto, this lets you present account figures in the client’s preferred asset.

The main asset is selected at account creation. USD remains the default, and existing accounts are unaffected.

Funding In The Account’s Main Asset

Deposits and withdrawals are made in the account’s selected main asset. For example, an EUR-denominated account is funded and withdrawn in EUR, keeping funding operations consistent with its balance, equity, and P&L calculations.

Withdrawal requests that exceed the available balance are flagged, highlighting insufficient funds for the requested amount.

Account Attribution Across The Trading Chain

When a platform routes orders through B2CONNECT, the liquidity provider can now distinguish the accounts behind those orders.

B2CONNECT forwards the FIX Account field (Tag 1), together with SenderSubID (Tag 50) and OnBehalfOfCompID (Tag 115) where enabled. These identifiers accompany the order to the liquidity provider and return on the execution report.

This preserves per-account attribution when B2CONNECT sits between a taker platform and its liquidity provider.

Broader Instrument Support In AMS Profiles

Swap Profiles are no longer limited to CFDs: they now support instruments from any asset class.

AMS profiles also accept instruments that share the same base and quote asset, expanding the instruments brokers can include in their configuration.

Order Recovery And Reporting Fixes

The release addresses a rare case in which a filled order could be reported as expired after a liquidity provider ended its order-update stream. B2CONNECT now reconnects immediately, and order recovery reports the actual result.

Turnover report fixes also address notification delivery to configured Slack channels and email recipients, along with the reporting period shown on each report.
