Qori Launches Multi-Channel Pay by Bank and Pay By Crypto Tech
Industry News
With the debut of French company Qori, some European countries may now pay in-person, remotely, or online using their bank or cryptocurrency wallet without having to download a special app.
Through collaborations with European payment service providers, terminal distributors, e-commerce integrators, and POS manufacturers, hundreds of thousands of merchants have got access to the pay by the bank and pay by crypto technologies.
Qori, which promises to be a fully digital, multi-channel, and less expensive alternative to card payments, will first concentrate on France, Spain, and the UK. Hottinger, Golden Record Ventures, Firestartr, Systema VC, and angel investors, including Guillaume Princen, the former president of Strip Europe, have contributed 1.8 million euro to the startup’s early capital.
The money will go toward growing Qori’s staff and deploying the company’s services widely in the luxury, hotel, and lifestyle industries as well as on the internet market.
“Open banking and cryptocurrency are two fundamental developments that are now upending the payments sector and posing a threat to the primary function of cards. Qori is utilizing this exceptional chance to establish itself as the go-to multi-channel payment option for in-person, online, and remote purchases” says Qori CEO Daniel Maurice-Vallerey.
