Burger King to offer Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Dogecoin for US clients as a part of the loyalty program
Industry News
Burger King added crypto payments in January 2020, being among the earliest crypto-supportive retailers. Meanwhile, the fast-food chain expands its involvement into the crypto world, offering digital assets to its US customers.
The retailer has partnered with the Robinhood online broker to form a prize pool of 20 BTC, 200 ETH, and 2 million Dogecoin. As of today, the overall prize pool is equivalent to $2.65 million. Clients participating in the Royal Perks loyalty program are about to get a part from that prize pool.
What are the conditions? The program starts on November 1 and lasts three weeks. Burger King clients need to spend at least $5 in one of the US restaurants. Prizes will be shared randomly.
“Most rewards are offered in Dogecoins, but some lucky ones are going to receive 1 ETH or 1BTC,” – Maria Posada, Vice President of Burger King North America, commented on the upcoming loyalty program.
Burger King is among the most active crypto-supporters. In September the retailer announced a set of NFT tokens within its advertising campaign Keep It Real Meals. Furthermore, the fast-food chain added Dogecoin as a payment option.
