Detach Copied Open Positions

Cut the tie between a copied position and the master’s original so you manage it yourself.

For clients

Detaching a copied open position cuts its link to the master’s original. From that moment the two positions live independent lives: if the master closes theirs, yours stays open — closing it (or setting SL/TP) becomes entirely your job.

In the main menu, expand MAM and click My Accounts.

Detaching is permanent

A detached position cannot be re-attached. It no longer follows the master’s exit, and it is excluded from the subscription’s copying logic — manage it manually until you close it.

Detach is useful when you agree with the master’s entry but want your own exit — for example, to hold through a close the master takes early, or to apply your own Stop Loss discipline.
