Lionel Messi to enter the new era with the NFT collection

The Argentinian football legend has recently announced that he would continue his football career outside Barcelona. A string of financial and legal problems forced the star to move on, looking for a new club.

At the same time, Leo decided to join the explosively growing trend, launching his exclusive collection of non-fungible tokens. The collection is about to include three NFTs designed in cooperation with BossLogic, an Australian artist who had been working on the Avengers.

The Messiverse collection consists of three tokens:

• The first NFT displays Messi as a football player with lightning elements on his T-shirt. The image hints that Lionel is a superhero.
• The second token shows the Argentinian star as the mythological Atlas holding a sword in his hand.
• The third token depicts Leo as the chess king; meanwhile, the king is holding the ball there.

The NFT collection will be available for purchase on the Ethernity platform, starting with August 20. The fourth token is expected to appear later, enlarging the Messiverse collection.

Non-fungible tokens are among the key trends of 2021, attracting crowds of artists, musicians, fashion brands, and even football players. In July the NFT market reached its all-time high, as monthly sales volumes have exceeded the mark of $150 million.
